Myrtle Beach mayor is still an arrogant ass

When I built this website in 2008, I wanted all the info on the major bike rallies included on HD Biker Forums. Sturgis, Daytona & Laconia were a given but Myrtle Beach was one I have never ridden. Bikers I knew talked of this great event in South Carolina & yes I know a few golfers who have been there.So I added it as a major rally point. Next year 2009 a slogan came up " No dime in 09". It seems the MB mayor John Rohdes made some bonehead decisions to the ike rally in his town. After hearing & reading what a true arrogant prick the mayor is, MB bike rally was no longer on our rally list & the mayor was the first on the "shit list".

The mayor told the bikers that the townspeople do not want the noise of a rally in MB. However bikers should feel welcome to golf & spend money instead. A "helmet law" was in effect & the noise ban would strictly be enforced. After hearing all the arrogance from this greedy individual I am so glad we dropped their rally. I just read the repealed the "helmet law" for the upcoming event in MB. Mayor Rohdes has shown enough disrespect to the biker community. I don't care if he promises to shine the chrome on my H-D every time I ride thru South Carolina no dime will be spent in MB. The residents have to pay the price for this arrogant prick. But guess what they voted for his sorry ass. I am sure there is plenty of sand at their beaches & golf courses. Being that bikers will be avoiding Myrtle Beach this weekend it looks like a perfect oppurtunity for the mayor to pound some sand. Adios MB bike rally.
