Save Gas Ride More
If more people rode a Harley or American v-twin it would help twofold. America as a whole would use less gas so demand would be less & buying American made can only help our economy. To those that want to tell those about foreign bikes & bash Harley Davidson this site is not for you. This site was built after I attended the "Harley Hundreeth Party" in Milwaukee.
I headed to Milwaukee on a thursday the first day of"The Party". Seeing the factory workers welcome what they built back home showed me more about H-D. I did see a cool sign from BMW on the interstate. The billboard told H-D they wanted to tell them Congratulations on 100 years, but they probably can't hear because of the noise. BMW is cool in my book, they just cater to a different type of rider. Seeing a dude with a new "beamer" & his windshield that raised up with a push of a button. I will be the first to admit his ride was pretty slick just not for me.
Starting my FXR everytime gets me going. I choose to ride in the wind. I am also smart enough to admit that riding saved my ass. Experiencing the welcome home feeling showed m that the workers that built my FXR go above & beyond building a motorcycle. Me personally, I learned all I can about my bike. I was pretty pissed off when I spotted some foreign parts on my bike. I rode straight to the dealer where I bought my bike in a pissed off mood. The explanation was some parts are foreign to be competitive. Being competitive I can understand, just don't be competitive on the electronics. My damn relay switch coming from the "China Doll" will crap out every other year. I am still looking for an American made replacement.
Two weeks ago I was in Milwaukee for the Women's Rider Expo. Yes seeing smiling women is a great pastime. I also shot the shit with a factory worker Ed from Kansas City plant. Bro's & Sister's Ed & his compadre's live to build bikes. This is not their hobby but a true profession. Kansas City builds Sportster & v-rod models. Ed drove a v-rod from K.C. to Milwaukee to share his insight to those that asked. I ask questions that is what I do. Harley knows if enough bikers get to ride the branny new models somebody will buy one. I still choose my 92 FXR it gets me where I am going or need to go.
I am not a fan of products Made in China,Japan. Taiwan or any other countries I cannot pronounce. Yes I am aware that H-D gets most aftermarket products form the countries I just mentioned. So instead of bitching,I started www.bikersalesrep.com Check it out the try to convince me nothing is made here anymore. I am the guy that can convince you different.
