Some Things You Can Change
I have learned a lot since starting HDBF. I know I can make my own conditions & am ready, willing & able to accept change. Not quite a vending machine or tollbooth. I am a biker who lives to ride. The conditions I have created allow me the ability to acquire more info, meet cool people & hot woman. The more I ride the happier camper I become. I tested this theory last Spring, even when my FXR broke down 500 miles down the road "Life is Good". Leaving the uptight, bitchy & whiny people of the world is easier on a Harley. Two options when faced with "sweating the petty stuff". One is sit there & listen to the crap or two goose the throttle & leave em in the rear view mirrors. This Spring / Summer I decided to give something back.
While attending the "International Motorcycle Show" in Chicago I was asked a question that got my attention. Steve & Lise wanted to know if I ever thought about being a motorcycle instructor. When I saw these young bucks riding their crotch rocket with their mohawk helmet turned 90 degrees from the road. I asked myself where did they learn how to ride? I know I can get my point across on this subject. Their riding days are numbered riding like a idiot. Stupid hurts & stupid can kill.
So far the contacts have been made just waiting to hear when the next available 80hour class for training will be. When I rode to the "Thunder in the Rockies" rally in Loveland Colorado in 2008. H-D had factory demo rides. I shit you not I saw a dozen dropped bikes during the rally. Don't know the contributing factor ,I just know how to prevent it. Guess thats what I can give to the newbies.Seeing the Colorado rockies is a hell of a lot better "in the wind" than in the seat of a tow truck.I do have some great tricks to seperate the wannabes from the be's. Good thing those reading this article allready have their motorcycle license.
